Dominik HartigSome journeys change quietly.
A gentle space for animal grief for people living on the move.
I offer pet loss grief support for travellers and vanlifers who have lost an animal companion — recently or long ago.
Online, and held with care for people living life on the move.

When your travel partner is gone
For many travellers, an animal is more than a pet.
They are your rhythm, your safety, your constant — the one who shared every road, every pause, every night.
When they are gone, the absence is everywhere. In the van. In your routines. In the silence beside you.
This kind of loss often has no place to land. Here, it doesn’t need to explain itself.
Grief on the road feels different
Living on the move leaves little room for conventional mourning.
There is no familiar environment to hold you, no shared history of the bond you lost.
You may keep moving — and still feel deeply stopped.
You may feel strong — and suddenly untethered.
Whether your loss is recent or something you’ve been carrying quietly for years,
this space meets grief as it shows up — without urgency, without judgement.
About difficult moments and quiet questions
Pet loss can bring complicated feelings.
Sometimes this includes responsibility, doubt, or the weight of having had to make a decision.
And often, another question follows — gently or insistently:
Will I ever travel with an animal again?
Am I ready — or allowed — to bond again?
You don’t need answers here.
Only a place where these questions are allowed to exist.

A space made for life on the move
I live part of the year in a van myself and work primarily online.
I understand the particular loneliness that can arise when your animal — your anchor — is no longer there.
This work is especially for travellers, vanlifers, and nomads who carry grief alongside freedom.
Wherever you are, there can be a place to arrive.
I’m Roxanna — a certified grief companion and traveller.
You can learn more about my background and approach on the About Mepage.
Online pet grief group
I’m in the process of building an online pet grief group for travellers and vanlifers.
A shared space to grieve animal companions together — without comparison, pressure, or explanation.
If you’d like to be informed when this group opens: Join the pet grief group interest list by sign-up.
If you’re unsure whether this support feels right, you’re welcome to begin with a free Say Hello call — a short, gentle conversation to sense if this space can hold you.
